In addition to Swaggy P demonstrating his deft stick handling and skating skills, he'll be performing trick shots against 10 lucky goalies competing in the Bay State Skills. The "Stop Swaggy P" one-on-one contest will be a fun and exciting segment where the last goalie to stop him will stand victorious and receive an award. All MA high school goalies across the boys and girls categories that register for the Bay State Skills will have the option to put their name into a blind draw. The 10 goalie participants in the contest will be drawn live on the day of the event.

I'm looking forward to being part of the Bay State Skills and interacting with the talented players on and off the ice. This event is right up my ally and a great take for hockey fans of all ages in Massachusetts. — Pete Lenes

About Pete Lenes, aka Swaggy P

One of the most exciting players to watch wherever he played, Peter is fresh off of a 10 year professional hockey career having played 3 seasons between the American Hockey League and the East Coast Hockey League, where he was an ECHL All-Star. Peter then enjoyed a great career playing the following 7 seasons in both Denmark and Austria.

Prior to his professional career, Peter was one of the first Vermonters ever selected to the US Under-16 Team to represent the USA at the World Championships. Peter followed that up with 1 season in the USHL and 4 seasons at the University of Vermont ‘05-09’. He earned Hockey East Rookie of the Week Honors 3 times as a freshman, led the team in goals as a junior, and was a Hobey Baker candidate his senior season while being selected to the 2009 College Hockey All-Skills Team. To cap off his college career, Peter was voted to the Hockey East Fan Favorite All Decade Team.

Peter is co-founder of Elev802, whose mission is to constantly challenge and lead individuals to achieve the highest level of performance on and off the ice. Elev802 offers hockey training, clinics, and camps across the U.S., led by former professional players and staff.

About The 2025 Bay State Skills

The first-ever Bay State Skills event, presented by Puck Prodigy, is for Massachusetts high school varsity hockey players to compete in four separate NHL-like skills competitions: Fastest Skater; Hardest Shot; Accuracy Shooting; and One-on-One. There will be a boys and girls category and four divisions. First, second, and third place finishers in each competition, category, and division will receive a commemorative plaque — and the top three finishers in each competition across all divisions will receive an additional award.
